Prime Minister Imran addresses a public meeting in Swat on March 16
SWAT: Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Swat on March 16 (Wednesday) as part of his public communication campaign after the joint opposition moved a no-confidence motion in the National Assembly to oust him from power.
According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan will also address a public meeting on Swat during his visit.
Earlier on Sunday, Prime Minister Imran, while addressing a huge public meeting in Hafizabad, said that efforts are being made to buy people's conscience to overthrow the government.
Unless a united nation stands up against corruption and injustice, the forms of evil that will continue to decline society will continue to flourish, he said.
The Prime Minister said that the true leader would not bow or please anyone for his nation and country. "Our former Prime Minister was trembling in front of the President of the United States with the paper in his hand. Will these leaders be able to raise the self-esteem of a nation!" he said, without mentioning the name of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's meeting with the former US president.
The Prime Minister said that the true leader always lifted the morale of the nation and was an example of Pakistan's founder, The Great Leader Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The world respected the individual or the country that respected itself.
The Prime Minister reiterated that Pakistan wanted equal relations with all countries. But as prime minister of a country of 220 million people, protecting the country's rights and interests is his first and most important duty.
I will not allow any policy that can do any harm to the motherland. I will not abandon national interests just to achieve the happiness of any country. The Prime Minister referred to his visit to the United States, where he stayed in a room at the Pakistani Embassy, and the Prime Minister said that he had not spent $1.2 or $1.4 million because Zardari and Nawaz Sharif had wasted during their visits.
The Prime Minister also justified his criticism of the open letter from EU ambassadors on the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, which he stressed was contrary to all diplomatic protocols. Did he address such a message to India? "We are not slaves to anyone," he said. The Prime Minister expressed surprise and said that his opponents, Mawlana Fadl rahman, Shahbaz Sharif and Bilal Bhutto, had issued statements against him for his public criticism of such an incident.
He said he knew the West and his mentality well because he let down those who "polished their shoes" or those who were willing to serve them for a modest advantage. On the contrary, they respect those who defend the self-esteem of their states and countries. They did not respect those who hid their illegitimate money abroad.
